FACIAL PEELS

There are a variety of different treatments in this category,  the principal effect being the exfoliation of the superficial layers of the skin. The grade of penetration depends on the type of exfoliate used, and is different in each individual case, depending on the amount of damage to the skin. This effect can be achieved by means of chemical peels or physical peels (dermabrasions). The objective here is to diminish fine lines and stains caused by sun damage and aging. This is considered to help surgical procedures such as facial rejuvenation, peribucal and eyelids. A "pre-treatment" is necessary for 2 to 3 weeks prior, in which a cream medication must be applied to the area. For the best final result prolonged exposure to the sun must be avoided during this time and up to a few weeks after treatment.
