MINI TUMMY TUCK

There is a variation of the tummy tuck known as a "mini-abdominoplasty", which is used when the patient has limited flaccidity in the lower portion of the stomach, and only if there are no major stretch marks present in the area. In this procedure the extraction of skin is limited and there are no incisions of the skin around the naval area (as with a full abdominoplasty). Liposuction is an important part of this procedure as well and (in appropriate cases) the correction is satisfactory, eliminating the necessity of the larger procedure. The end result is a smaller scar and a shorter recuperation period.
